Module Overview
Browse setup guidance, release notes, support channels, and FAQs for SEO URL Rewrite & Redirect.
Search for SEO URL Rewrite & Redirect in Apps, then click Activate to install the module on your Odoo 20 database.
Assign the SEO URL Redirects privilege on each user under Settings → Users → Access Rights. Choose User for day-to-day SEO work or Administrator for bulk tools and import/export.

Create a product and the SEO URL Key is generated from its name. Key Source reads Generated automatically - follows the product name, so renaming the product realigns the key and creates a 301 redirect from the old URL.
Type your own key and it is flagged manual - Key Source switches to Set manually - kept as-is when the product is renamed. Press Reset to automatic to hand the key back to the generator.
Meta Title, Description & Keywords are auto-generated from product data and stay in sync while no box under Maintained by Hand is ticked. Use Generate / Preview SEO Meta Tags for a Google SERP preview before applying.
Edit a meta field by hand and only that field is flagged under Maintained by Hand (Never Regenerated) - here Meta Keywords - while the untouched fields keep updating automatically. Reset to Automatic clears the flags and rebuilds the values.

It is an Odoo 20 Website application that lets you set clean SEO URL keys on products, categories, blog posts, and pages; manage 301/302 redirects with analytics; monitor 404 errors; and bulk-generate slugs - all integrated with native seo_name and website.rewrite routing.
How do clean
product URLs work?
Set a SEO URL Key on each product and public URLs become /shop/your-key instead of /shop/your-key-42. Legacy id-suffix URLs are automatically 301-redirected to the canonical SEO URL.
Are redirects
synced with native Odoo routing?
Yes. Every redirect rule mirrors into website.rewrite for reliable HTTP routing. Hit counts, referrers, and chain warnings are tracked on the SEO dashboard.
Can I import
redirects from a legacy CMS?
Yes. Use the Import Redirects wizard to upload CSV files with from_url, to_url, redirect_type, active, and note columns. A template is available for download.
Does it
remove ?attribute_values= from product URLs?
Yes. Enable Remove Attribute Parameters and Remove Category Parameters per product. The module issues server-side 301 redirects and patches the variant UI to keep browser URLs clean.
How are
access rights managed?
Odoo 20 privilege-based groups appear under Access Rights → SEO URL Redirects. Choose User for day-to-day SEO work or Administrator for bulk tools, CSV import/export, and full configuration.
What content
types are supported?
Products (/shop/slug), shop categories (/shop/category/slug), blog posts (/blog/blog-slug/post-slug), and website pages (/slug). Slugs are unique across all four models.
